Networked fire simulation
Real-time fire. Real-world complexity.

Under the hood.
An early IVIS fire simulation from Little Arms Studios, designed to train incident commanders. The simulation models combustion, radiation, conduction, and convection in real time, with fire and smoke responding to the environment.
The server-authoritative simulation prioritizes updates by room and player relevance. Client-side prediction keeps interactions responsive while server states keep the simulation synchronized. Air moves through openings and porous barriers, changing the oxygen, carbon, and moisture available to the fire.
This prealpha video demonstrates fire behavior; networked players were not included at the time of recording.
